Jesus My Lord and My God   Ajit Leons Ministries

My Story

Praise God!
Welcome to my website:JesusMyLordandMyGod.com

I am alive today only by grace and mercy of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And, I believe that the best way to show my gratitude to God is by sharing his blessing in other people’s lives. My experience of faith and all that I will share is based on my personal, direct experience of God’s Love.

Here is my story.

My name is Ajit Kumar Leons. My brothers and sisters in Christ know me as ‘Ajit Brother’. I was born in a Catholic family in Kollam (formerly Quilon), Kerala, India on June 23, 1957. My father Leons was a teacher. My mother was Theresa was a home maker. I come from a family of devout Catholics.

When I was 9 years old in 1966, we left India for Sierra Leone, Africa to join my father who was working there as an English teacher with the Italian missionaries. I used to be an altar boy for the Italian Bishop at Sierra Leone. In 1968, we shifted to Monze, Zambia where my father got a job in the government school. And that is where my story begins.

My earliest memories of my spiritual quest were long walks into Zambian bush country rich with elephant grass. The country around me was filled with waterhole and animals of the African wild. Lions, rhinos and hippos lived here. In this beautiful country, I sought out quiet places under comforting shadow of trees, where I used to sit, thinking about the meaning and purpose of life, the role God plays in human life.

Here, I was confronted by the pain and suffering of people everywhere. I wondered why this happened, even though I was told that God was kind and merciful. I soon concluded there was no God. And so, my growing up years were filled with doubt, disbelief and rebellion. I rebelled against everything.

And, that was my frame of mind when I returned in 1973 back to India, to pursue my higher studies in Chennai (formerly known as Madras). Madras in those days was a sunny spacious city and I lived on its outskirts near its iconic college Madras Christian College at Tambaram.

Over the next 10 years, from 1974 to 1984, I underwent a faith experience that would lead me from non-belief to belief in a Living God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. In those early days, living on the outskirts of the city, I was cynic about everything. And, then one day, my disbelieving mind was amazed when I glimpsed the working of occult practitioners in that part of the city and the consequences of their acts. I soon realized Evil existed. And, if Evil existed, there has to be a God who was kind and merciful.

My life was extremely turbulent during these years and it led me to thoughts of ending my life. I felt the Hand of God when I had an experience of being saved from suicide. Hours later, I would experience Love of God over several hours on the terrace at Tambaram on the outskirts of Chennai. In 1984, shortly after losing my mother, I was paralyzed below my waist by spinal arachnoditis—a severe painful condition that confined me to a bed for 15 months.

Spinal arachnoditis marks the threshold of human pain in the medical world.

For one year and three months, I suffered pain that cannot be described. For 4 and a half months during this period, my agony peaked when I faced agony racking my body in 5 minute cycles around the clock. Four minutes of excruciating pain followed by one minute of relief. This experience left me not only paralyzed, but a loss of flesh within my legs. In December 1984, medical experts at a leading Trivandrum hospital gave me 9 months to live. Spinal arachnoditis, to this day, has no known cure. This was my turning point to faith and spirituality; to Jesus and his compassion.

Since 1984, I have walked with Jesus. Every day with Jesus is an adventure. My journey with him has led me through prayer experiences in India, the Middle East and Toronto, Canada. Across the world, I have a large family comprising of Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Wherever they come from, they are united in their belief in our Lord Jesus Christ.

For this reason, I preach and pray with brothers and sisters from all denominations of Christianity. Very often I am called to speak and pray with people from other religions. They turn out to be the most faith-driven believers in our Lord Jesus. With all of them, in prayer, I share insights that I receive in prayer by the grace of the Holy Spirit.

Now, I want to share those insights with you on this website: Mysteries within the Word of God. By the grace of God, the mercy of Christ and the healing power of the Holy Spirit, I am writing these lines to you. Medical experts once gave me 9 months to live. I live today with my family in Toronto, Canada. I work with an international engineering conglomerate as a business consultant and my work takes me today takes me across Canada, Dubai and India.

Today, wherever I am in the world, I run a prayer ministry through telephone. I believe that the best way to show my gratitude to God is by sharing his blessing in other people’s lives. My experience of faith and all that I will share is based on my personal, direct experience of God’s Love. My sole mission in life today is to share with others what God has given me. To do this, irrespective of color, ethnic background, creed or even religion, I pray for all those who reach out to me according to their needs; particularly the suffering and the sick. This is my ministry.
