In the\u00a0third post of the ‘Born Again in the Spirit’ series, Brother Ajit Leons speaks on the nature of those born again in Spirit or what their lives should be like:<\/p>\n
John 3.8: <\/b>The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit.\u201d (E.g. Acts 8.31, 34-40<\/b>)<\/p>\n
Mathew 3.8 (Luke 3.8):<\/b>Do those things that will show that you have turned from your sins.<\/p>\n
Our minds can be controlled by our human nature\/emotion or the Spirit. Temptations are part and parcel of this world and they exist outside of us (Mathew 18.7, 8-9<\/b>); but when a person falls into a temptation sin is born within him\/her (Mathew 15.11, 17-20<\/b>). A person falls into sin when he is controlled by his human nature, but he will be able to overcome temptation when he is controlled by the Spirit; as revealed under.<\/p>\n
Romans 8.4-8, 9-10, 13-16 (Life in the Spirit): <\/b>\u00a0Those who live as their human nature wants have their minds controlled by what human nature wants. Those who live as the Spirit tells them to, have their minds controlled by what the Spirit wants.To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace. \u00a0<\/i>\u2026a person becomes an enemy of God when he is controlled by his human nature; for he does not obey God\u2019s law\u2026Those who obey their human nature cannot please God. \u2026live as the Spirit tells you to\u2026But if Christ lives in you, the Spirit is life for you \u2026even though your bodies are going to die because of sin. \u2026if you live according to your human nature, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death your sinful actions, you will live.<\/i>\u2026instead, the Spirit makes you God\u2019s children, and by the Spirit\u2019s power we cry out to God, \u201cFather! my Father!\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n
Galatians 5.16-17, 24-25:<\/b> \u2026let the Spirit direct your lives\u2026For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants\u2026These two are enemies\u2026And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires. The Spirit has given us life; he must also control our lives.<\/p>\n
